Group Classes

Adult mat based Pilates classes take place in Dulwich Village & Herne Hill. All ages & fitness levels are welcome, with mats and equipment provided.

These small, group community classes are small and designed to offer a friendly setting, with individual attention.

Work place & Desk based Pilates & Yoga classes are also available. Please get in touch for further details.

Mixed Ability Pilates Class

These small group classes are suitable for anyone who has some Pilates experience are feel they understand the basic principles of Pilates. The classes include both contemporary and classical Pilates exercises and modifications are given to enable clients to choose to work at an intermediate or more advanced level. The classes are structured but varied, to offer a different challenge each week.

CLASSICAL PILATES Class

The class is based on the original set of Pilates exercises created by Joseph Pilates & are a set of 39 flowing exercises, designed to build stamina, strength, core stability, flexibility, using the breath for enhanced movement & relaxation.

The classical format is a great workout & offers a challenging class & would be suitable for those who already have experience of pilates, but would like to learn and develop the original Pilates repertoire.

Beginners Pilates Class

With only 12 places per class, the Beginners group mat classes will enable you to understand and practise the basic principles of Pilates, in a slower paced, smaller class setting. Suitable for beginners, for those who are returning to pilates or who would just prefer a slower paced class.

HIP Pilates (HIGH INTENSITY, power pilates)

HIP Pilates is a energetic, high intensity workout, combining a cardiovascular workout with core strength, balance,coordination and dynamic stretching. It is a functional, ‘feel good’ workout in a flowing, structured, 45 minute class with motivating music. Light hand weights are incorporated to add challenge and muscle tone.

Mixed Ability Level

 

Karen is so welcoming and helpful and offers a variety of difficulty so the classes are suitable for all levels. She combines instructions with education in her classes and I feel energised, relaxed and ready to face the week ahead.
